Arturo Frias Moreno fatally struck on W Rio Grande in El Paso

EL PASO, TX – A 57-year-old man died Wednesday in an auto-pedestrian crash in the Sunset Heights area of El Paso, reports KFOX 14.

Sometime in the afternoon, emergency crews responded to a fatal accident on West Rio Grande near West Yandell Drive, which is north of I-10 and southeast of The Hospitals of Providence Memorial Campus.

Police say that a westbound 2014 Audi Q7 struck Arturo Frias Moreno along West Rio Grande.

Moreno was not walking in a designated crosswalk when the crash occurred.

The victim died after transport to an area hospital.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
