Pickup rear-ends SUV on I-410 near San Pedro Ave, killing 1

SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 51-year-old man died over the Valentine’s Day weekend in a two-vehicle collision along the interstate in north San Antonio.

According to KENS 5, the accident occurred Saturday around 11:15 a.m. on Loop 410 near San Pedro Avenue. This is just south of San Pedro Crossing and north of North Star Mall.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a Ford pickup truck rear-ended a Chevy Trailblazer before impacting with a building.

The driver of the pickup truck died after transport to an area hospital.

It’s unclear if anyone in the Trailblazer sustained injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
