Carter Heise IDed as victim in 2-car crash on Independence Pkwy

PLANO, TX – A teenager died Monday in a wrong-way collision along a major roadway in southwest Collin County, reports WFAA News 8.

Around noon, emergency crews responded to a two-vehicle accident on Independence Parkway between West Plano Parkway and Lotus Drive in Plano.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a southbound Chevy Volt entered the northbound side of the roadway and collided head on with a southbound Lincoln Navigator.

A 15-year-old from the Navigator, identified as Carter Heise, sustained fatal injuries.

Medics transported the other three occupant of the Navigator to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.

Nobody in the other vehicle sustained injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
