Rolando Adame IDed as victim in Live Oak Co. wrong-way crash

LIVE OAK CO., TX – A wrong-way collision involving two pickup trucks claimed the life of an elderly man last Friday morning in Live Oak County.

According to KIIITV 3 News, the accident happened shortly after 8:45 a.m. on FM 624 between US-59 and US-281.

Police say that for unknown reasons, a westbound Ford F-150 entered the eastbound side of FM 624 and crashed head-on into an eastbound 2020 Dodge Ram, causing the latter vehicle to roll.

A passenger in the Ram succumbed to his injuries at the scene. Authorities later identified him as 72-year-old Rolando Adame of Corpus Christi.

It’s unclear if the driver of the eastbound Ram sustained injuries.

Medics transported the driver and passenger from the wrong-way vehicle to an area hospital with unknown injuries.

No charges have been announced thus far.

A full investigation is underway.
