Eric Montanez IDed as victim in Crowley car vs. motorcycle crash

CROWLEY, TX – A multi-vehicle collision killed one motorcyclist and injured another last Monday in southwest Tarrant County, reports California Accident Alerts.

Around 6 p.m., emergency crews responded to a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Business 1187 and Eagle Drive in the city of Crowley, about 16 miles south of Fort Worth.

The investigation thus far indicates that a car struck two motorcycles near the intersection. There’s no word yet regarding the cause of the accident.

One of the motorcyclists, since identified as 41-year-old Eric Montanez, died at the scene of the collision.

Medics airlifted the second biker to an area hospital with critical, life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the car stopped to render aid and to speak with police; no charges have been filed thus far.

The investigation is ongoing.
