John Allen IDed as victim in Bell County motorcycle accident
SALADO, TX – A 68-year-old motorcyclist died Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision in south-central Bell County, reports msn.
Around 4:15 p.m., emergency teams responded to a crash involving a sedan and a motorcycle at FM 2484 and Ridgewood Drive in northwest Salado, about an hour north of Austin.
Police say that John Josef Allen was passing another car on his eastbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle when he struck a Toyota Camry. The driver of the Camry as turning left from Ridgewood onto FM 2484 at the time of the crash.
Allen succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Medics transported the 25-year-old driver of the sedan to an area hospital with unspecified injuries.
No charges have been announced thus far.
A full investigation is underway.
