NB US-75 in Sherman closed after fiery semi crash

SHERMAN, TX – Both northbound lanes of US-75 were closed down for several hours on Tuesday due to a collision that caused a semi truck to erupt in flames.

KXII reports that the accident happened near Shepherd Road sometime before 9 a.m. on July 7.

A semi truck collided with another vehicle an then caught on fire. Video at the scene shows the flames gutted the trailer, twisting its metal frame. Police reported minor injuries but provided no additional information.

The wreck brought northbound traffic to a standstill and reduced southbound traffic to a single lane.

It took hours to clear the scene and get the lanes back open.
