Tamara Spencer killed in hit-and-run crash outside Arlington’s Meadowbrook Golf Course

ARLINGTON, TX – A 63-year-old woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash that happened outside of the Meadowbrook Golf Course on Thursday.

WFAA said the incident occurred before 9:15 p.m. at the intersection of South Collins Street near East Broder Street. The 63-year-old woman, who was using a wheelchair, was crossing the street when she was struck by a vehicle.

The woman fell to the ground, and the driver continued driving without stopping or rendering aid to her.

Arlington police arrived to find the woman, later identified as Tamara Spencer, on the ground in serious condition.

EMS rushed Spencer to a hospital, where she later died.

Police do believe Spencer was using a marked crosswalk at the time of the collision.

Police are actively working to determine what the suspect and their vehicle looked like.

Anyone with more information about the crash is urged to contact police immediately.
