Arlington PD responds to semi-truck collision in East Arlington 

EAST ARLINGTON, TX – Arlington police responded to the scene of a semi-truck collision in East Arlington on Wednesday, WFAA said. 

The incident was reported before 6 p.m. Oncor Electric Delivery told the source that a semi-truck crash resulted in downed power lines and pulled down a power pole. As a result, neighboring businesses and homes were affected by the power outages. 

The downed power lines and pole also blocked the road, leaving Arlington Police with no choice but to issue lane closures and redirect traffic to allow Oncor and Spectrum to restore the power. 

Police reopened the area before 9:30 p.m. 

Police have not provided additional commentary, including the cause of the semi-truck collision and whether anyone was injured.
