Destiny Okoronkwo Killed, Karlonte Jackson Injured in Two-Vehicle Crash on Marsha Sharp Freeway at Interstate 27 in Lubbock

Lubbock, TX. (December 9, 2021)- 19-year-old Destiny Okoronkwo was killed, and two others were injured in a two-vehicle crash on December 6, 2021, in Lubbock, Texas. The accident occurred just after 6:00 a.m. at the Marsha Sharp Freeway access road and the Interstate 27 access road intersection. Police reported that Okoronkwo was traveling westbound in a Ford Fusion while Karlonte Jackson was driving a northbound Chrysler 200. The two vehicles then collided for unknown reasons. Okoronkwo was pronounced dead at the scene. Jackson and his passenger sustained minor injuries. No further details have been provided at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
