Single-vehicle motorcycle crash kills 2 in Cooke Co.

GAINESVILLE, TX – A motorcycle operator and passenger died Friday night after their bike crashed along a highway in Gainesville, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened at 11:00 p.m. near the intersection of Farm to Market Road 3902 and County Road 209, which is just west of Nickle Cemetery.

The investigation indicates that the 39-year-old driver of the motorcycle lost control of the bike while speeding and collided with a mailbox on the side of the road.

Both the motorcycle operator and his 32-year-old female passenger died at the scene of the crash.

Authorities have not yet released the names of the victims.

A full investigation is underway.
