SUV vs. motorcycle crash kills 19-year-old in Arlington

ARLINGTON, TX – A 19-year-old motorcyclist died on Friday afternoon after colliding with an SUV at a busy intersection in Arlington, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 3:44 p.m. in the vicinity of 2100 W. Bardin Road, which is just south of I-20.

The investigation thus far indicates that the eastbound motorcycle crashed into a westbound Mercury Mariner SUV as the latter vehicle attempted to turn left onto Racquet Club Drive. Police say that speed may have been one factor in the accident.

The motorcyclist died after transport the to hospital. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public but say he was from Fort Worth.

The driver of the SUV went to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
