Multi-car crash on FM 1844 in Longview kills 1, injures 2
LONGVIEW, TX – A 27-year-old man died last Sunday after his car collided with three other vehicles at a busy intersection in east-central Gregg County, reports KETK.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. at the intersection of FM 1844 and Spur 502, which is just northeast of Judson Middle School.
The investigation thus far indicates that and eastbound 2014 Mazda 6 collided with a 2021 Jeep Wrangler at the intersection. The two vehicles then crashed into two additional cars.
The driver of the Mazda 6, identified as Tucker I. Miles of Sulphur Springs, died the day after the crash at a hospital in Tyler.
The 54-year-old driver of the Jeep Wrangler, identified as General L. Edwards, sustained non-critical injuries, as did 53-year-old Timeka M. Thomas, who was a passenger in one of the other two vehicles involved in the collision
Neither of the other two drivers were injured in the crash.
A full investigation is underway.
