Officials id victim of semi crash on I-35W SB near E Ripy St

FORT WORTH, TX – The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has publicly identified the victim of a crash that happened along the interstate Thursday, reports Yahoo.

The incident occurred around 2:45 a.m. on the southbound side of I-35 West near East Ripy Street, which is a few blocks west of Worth Heights Community Center.

Officials say that 59-year-old Augustin Estrada died after his pickup truck collided with an 18-wheeler. The semi-truck had stopped for traffic caused by an earlier crash on the interstate, and Estrada failed to stop his pickup truck in time. He died at the scene of the crash.

No other injuries have been mentioned in connection with the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
