Commercial truck overturns on PGBT in Irving, killing driver

IRVING, TX – The 57-year-old driver of a commercial truck died last Thursday in Irving after his vehicle crashed along the turnpike in Irving.

According to DFW Scanner, the incident happened at 4:14 a.m. on the southbound side of the President George Bush Turnpike near Gateway Drive, which is between North Belt Line Road and the West John Carpenter Freeway.

The investigation thus far indicates that for unknown reasons, the truck driver lost control of his vehicle and left the roadway, at which point the truck overturned after crashing into a guardrail.

The driver died at the scene of the accident. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public. They say the man was from Dallas.

No other injuries have been reported in connection with the crash. A full investigation is underway.
