Vehicle strikes, kills 17-year-old pedestrian on Wilshire in Burleson
BURLESON, TX – A 17-year-old pedestrian died early Sunday morning after a vehicle struck them along a busy roadway in Burleson, reports DFW Scanner.
The incident happened at 12:45 a.m. in the vicinity of 3500 SW Wilshire Boulevard, which is near World Gym Burleson,
The investigation thus far indicates that the pedestrian was walking along Wilshire when an 18-year-old driver struck them.
The pedestrian died after transport to an area hospital. Authorities have not yet released their identity to the public.
Police say that the driver involved in the accident remained at the scene. At this time, they do not suspect impairment.
The investigation is ongoing.
