Two-vehicle crash near E Arbrook Blvd and Hogan Ln kills 1, hurts 1
ARLINGTON, TX – A 20-year-old female passenger died, and the driver went to the hospital after a two-vehicle collision on the south side of Arlington.
According to WFAA 8, the incident happened around 10:30 p.m. in the area of East Arbrook Boulevard and Hogan Lane, which is north of I-20 and west of TX-360.
Police say that the driver of a speeding 2011 Chevrolet Malibu lost control of the vehicle and crossed the roadway into oncoming traffic. The Chevy then collided with a westbound 2018 Toyota Camry.
The force of the crash pushed the Chevy into an electrical pole and then into a backyard on Hogan Lane.
The passenger in the Chevy died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.
Medics transported the driver of the Chevy to the hospital with non-critical injuries.
The occupants of the Toyota did not sustain injuries in the collision.
A full investigation is underway.
