Both drivers killed in wrong-way crash on I-20 EB near Hulen Mall

FORT WORTH, TX – Two people died, and one person was hurt Monday after a pickup truck and an SUV collided along the interstate  in southwest Fort Worth, reports NBC DFW 5.

The collision occurred just before 3 a.m. on the eastbound side of I-20 near Hulen Mall, which is between Chisholm Trail Parkway and I-35W, in the Wedgwood area.

Police say that a westbound pickup truck entered the eastbound lanes of I-20 and crashed head-on into an SUV, killing both drivers. Authorities have not yet released their identities.

Medics transported a passenger from the pickup truck to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Crews worked for hours yesterday, investigating and clearing the scene. All lanes re-opened by around 7:15 a.m.
