Child killed in hit-and-run on LBJ Freeway Service Road near Park Central

DALLAS, TX – A 7-year-old girl died on Monday morning when two vehicles struck her along the service road to the freeway in north Dallas.

According to WFAA 8, the incident occurred around 12:20 a.m. on the LBJ Freeway Service Road near the Residence Inn by Marriott, which is just north of Medical City Dallas Hospital.

Police believe that a vehicle struck the little girl and fled the scene, at which point a second vehicle also hit the child. The driver of the second vehicle stopped to render aid and speak with authorities.

The little girl died at the scene of the accident. Officials are still looking for the driver of the hit-and-run vehicle. They encourage anyone with information or tips to contact the Dallas Police Department.
