Fiery 3-vehicle crash on Lake June at N Prairie Creek kills 1, hurts 2

DALLAS, TX – One driver died, and two drivers went to the hospital Monday after a vehicle collided with two pickups at a Pleasant Grove intersection.

According to WFAA 8, the incident happened around 9:25 p.m. at the intersection of North Prairie Creek Road and Lake June Road, which is east of TX-12 and south of WW Samuell High School.

Police say that a southbound driver ran a red light and struck two pickup trucks that were travelling along Lake June Road. One of the pickup truck drivers died after their truck caught fire and they became trapped. Authorities have not yet released the victim’s identity.

Medics transported the second pickup truck driver to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

The driver that caused the collision went to the hospital with unspecified injuries. It’s unclear if this driver will face charges.

A full investigation is underway.
