CareFlite called to Mansfield crash with entrapment on Gertie Barrett

MANSFIELD, TX – Crews dispatched an air ambulance to the scene of a major collision with entrapment on a busy roadway in northwest Mansfield, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident occurred sometime before 10:05 p.m. in the area of 3200 Gertie Barrett Road, which is south of Cedar Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, between Turner Warnell Road and Dick Price Road.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about the circumstances of the accident except to say that at least one person became entrapped and required extrication. CareFlight arrived at the scene sometime around 10:32 p.m., indicating the possibility of serious injuries.

Officials warned drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes while crews worked to clear the scene.
