Police investigate pin-in crash at S Lyons and W Erwin in Tyler
TYLER, TX – Authorities responded to a major collision Monday morning at a busy intersection just west of downtown Tyler, reports CBS 19.
The accident happened just prior to 8:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Lyons Avenue and West Erwin Street, which is east of Willow Brook Country Club and west of North Glenwood Boulevard.
Tyler Police haven’t shared many details regarding the crash. They say that at least one person became “pinned in” and required extrication. It’s unclear if anyone required hospitalization following the collision.
Drivers likely experienced delays near South Lyons and West Erwin during morning rush hour Monday while crews performed rescue measures and cleared the scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
