Single-vehicle motorcycle crash kills 1 near US-75 and W Park Blvd in Plano

PLANO, TX – Emergency crews responded to a fatality motorcycle accident along the highway in Plano on Tuesday afternoon, reports the Plano Police Department on Nextdoor.

The incident happened around 1:30 p.m. at West Park Boulevard and the the southbound service road of US-75, which is just north of Harrington Park and the Collin Creek Shopping Center.

The investigation thus far indicates that the motorcyclist was likely speeding when he lost control of his bike and struck a concrete barrier. The force of the collision threw the motorcyclist from his bike, and he died.

Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased to the public.

Officials closed all but one lane of the southbound service road while crews investigated and worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
