2-vehicle crash on Sam Rayburn near Legacy injures motorcyclist

PLANO, TX – A 20-year-old motorcyclist was seriously hurt Monday in a crash with another vehicle along the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Plano, reports DFW Scanner.

The accident happened in the evening on the northbound side of the tollway near Legacy Drive, which is in the Legacy Commons area.

The preliminary investigation indicates that a speeding motorcyclist changed lanes without looking carefully and struck an SUV.

Medics transported the motorcyclist to a local hospital with critical injuries.

No other injuries have been reported thus far.

Officials closed roads in the area of the accident while crews worked to clear the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
