Police seek driver involved in crash that killed motorcyclist on I-35E in Corinth
CORINTH, TX – Corinth police are looking for the driver involved in the three-vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist along the interstate on Saturday, reports The Cross Timbers Gazette.
The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. on the northbound side of the 5900 block of I-35E, which is just southwest of North Central Texas College Corinth Campus.
The investigation indicates that the 20-year-old motorcyclist was likely speeding on the interstate when he crashed into the back of a dark-colored sedan. After falling from his bike, a second vehicle struck the motorcyclist, whom authorities declared deceased at the scene. The victim’s identity has not yet been released to the public.
Police say the driver of the dark-colored sedan fled the scene of the accident. They encourage anyone with tips or information to share to contact the Corinth Police Department.
It is unclear if the second driver stopped to render aid.
The investigation is ongoing.
