Woman and child killed in pedestrian crash on Spring Valley in N Dallas

DALLAS, TX – A woman and a child died late Tuesday afternoon after a vehicle struck them along a busy roadway in far north Dallas, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 3:50 p.m. on West Spring Valley Road near the intersection with Esperanza Road, which is just north of Carolyn G. Bukhair Elementary School.

Police haven’t yet indicated if the woman and child were crossing the roadway or standing along the shoulder when the crash happened.

Medics transported both victims to the hospital, where they died from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities haven’t yet released their identities to the public.

The driver of the vehicle did remain at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.

A full investigation is underway.
