Johnson Co. teen charged with intoxication manslaughter in December crash
JOHNSON CO., TX – Officials have announced charges for the 17-year-old responsible for causing a crash that killed four adults and two kids in December.
According to NBC DFW 5, Luke Resecker faces multiple charges, including intoxication assault, intoxication manslaughter, and possession of a controlled substance.
The collision occurred on December 26th on US-67 just south of Cleburne. Resecker was intoxicated when he drove his southbound Chevy Silverado on the northbound side of the highway and collided head-on with a Honda Odyssey.
The crash killed four adults from the van, as well as a nine-year-old and a ten-year-old.
Resecker and a passenger from the Chevy went to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Upon release from the hospital, Resecker was sentenced to home confinement. And most recently, Resecker posted bail.
The investigation is ongoing.
