Chain-reaction crash on US-75 near Lover’s Lane sends 2 to hospital

DALLAS, TX – Authorities responded to an injury accident involving six vehicles along the highway in northeast Dallas on Saturday, reports CBS News.

The incident happened just before 6:30 p.m. on US-75 between Lover’s Lane and Southwestern Boulevard, which is just northeast of the George W. Bush Presidential Center.

Police say that two speeding race cars, a Corvette and a Lamborghini, were driving recklessly when they allegedly caused a chain-reaction collision involving a total of six vehicles.

Two people, a husband and a wife, sustained non-critical injuries in the crash and went to the hospital for treatment.

Additionally, the collision caused damage to many of the vehicles involved.

The two drivers that caused the accident left the scene. Witnesses have alleged that one of the drivers may have been NFL football player Rashee Rice of the Kansas City Chiefs. Police have not yet commented on this allegation.
