Pickup strikes, kills woman in Arlington parking lot off of Green Oaks

ARLINGTON, TX – A woman died Wednesday afternoon after a vehicle struck her in the parking lot of an Arlington grocery store, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 3:42 p.m. in the Kroger parking lot off of Green Oaks Boulevard. This is in the Creekside Plaza area of south Arlington.

Police say that a pickup truck struck a 62-year-old as she was walking out of the store and to her car. The driver of the pickup truck was attempting to turn left at the end of a parking row.

Medics transported the victim to a local hospital, where she died of injuries sustained in the collision. Authorities have not yet released her identity to the public.

The driver of the pickup was not hurt in the crash and did remain at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
