Crash involving 2 trucks on TX-121 SB in Grapevine kills 1

GRAPEVINE, TX – A 27-year-old man died Wednesday from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle crash along the highway in Grapevine on Tuesday.

According to WFAA News 8, the incident happened just before noon on the southbound side of TX-121 just north of Texan Trail. This is at the northwest end of Dallas Fort Worth International Airport.

Police say that the driver of a southbound work truck fell asleep and rear-ended a southbound tow truck, throwing the tow truck driver from his vehicle.

Medics transported the driver of the tow truck to the hospital, and he died the next day from injuries sustained in the accident. Authorities identified the victim as Mohammad Ahmed Abdelraheem.

The driver of the work truck was not hurt in the crash and remained at the scene to speak with authorities.

The investigation is ongoing.
