Wrong-way crash on US-377 near Ike Byron Rd kills 1, hurts 2

KRUGERVILLE, TX – One person died, and two others went to the hospital from injuries sustained in a wrong-way collision in northeast Denton County.

According to DFW Scanner, the incident occurred in the city of Krugerville around 5:56 p.m. on US-377 near Ike Byrom Road. This is northeast of Fairview Park.

Police say that an SUV and a sedan collided head-on and that the force of the crash threw the 29-year-old driver of the SUV from the vehicle.

Medics transported the female driver of the SUV and a child passenger to the hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

The 27-year-old driver of the sedan died after transport to a local hospital.

A this time, it’s unclear which driver caused the accident.

A full investigation is underway.
