2-vehicle crash involving semi on FM 51 at Hwy 114 kills 1
WISE CO., TX – A 70-year-old man from Azle died Tuesday afternoon following a two-vehicle crash along the highway in south-central Wise County.
According to DFW Scanner, the incident occurred at 1:09 p.m. on FM 51 at Highway 114, which is between Boyd and Paradise.
Police say that an 18-wheeler and a northbound sedan collided when the latter vehicle failed to yield the right-of-way. The driver of the 18-wheeler was attempting to make a left turn onto FM 51 from Highway 114 at the time of the accident.
The collision killed the driver of the sedan at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his name to the public.
A full investigation is underway.
