Six-vehicle crash on US-75 near Rosamond Pkwy kills 1, injures 2

ANNA, TX – A woman died, and two others were hurt Monday in a multi-vehicle accident along the highway in north-central Collin County, reports WFAA News 8.

The crash occurred around 11:30 a.m. on the northbound side of US-75 near Rosamond Parkway in the city of Anna. This is about 46 miles northeast of Dallas.

Police say the collision involved six vehicles and resulted in the death of Collin County Court Clerk, Katrina Shelby.

Medics transported two people to area hospitals with undisclosed injuries, while four others involved in the accident did not require hospitalization.

There’s no word yet on the cause of the accident or the manner in which the vehicles crashed.

Officials closed all northbound lanes of US-75 in the area of the wreck while emergency teams worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
