Police investigate semi vs. motorcycle crash on I-635 SB near Lake June

DALLAS, TX – Emergency teams blocked a portion of the interstate in east Dallas Friday following a major crash involving a motorcycle and a semi, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened around 1:30 a.m. on the southbound side of I-635 near Lake June Road, which is just north of Walmart Supercenter in the Balch Springs area.

There’s no word yet regarding what might have caused the 18-wheeler and the motorcycle to collide, nor do we know if anyone was hurt or killed.

Officials closed I-635 southbound in the area of the crash for at least four hours Friday morning while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway. Our team of news writers will circle back with updates if we learn more about the circumstances of the collision.
