Rush-hour crash on Hwy 80 WB past Clements slows traffic

FORNEY, TX – Emergency teams responded to an accident along the highway in Forney during rush hour Friday morning, reports KRLD Traffic.

The incident happened sometime before 7:15 a.m. on the westbound side US-80 just past Clements Drive, which is just east of Mesquite Metro Airport – HQZ.

Police are investigating the cause of the collision and the number of vehicles involved. A tow truck reported to the scene to remove at least one of the vehicles.

The accident blocked the right lane of traffic along US-80 in the area of the crash while crews worked to gather evidence and clear the scene.
