Solo crash on I-30 WB near N Fielder Rd in NW Arlington kills 1

ARLINGTON, TX – A man died, and a woman was injured Sunday from injuries sustained in a single-vehicle crash along the interstate in northwest Arlington, reports DFW Scanner.

The incident happened around 3:37 a.m. on the westbound side of I-30 near North Fielder Road, which is northeast of Randol Mill Park and southwest of Lamar High School.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the 31-year-old driver lost control of his pickup truck, and was thrown from the vehicle after hitting multiple obstacles, including a concrete barrier and sign. The man died at the scene. Authorities have not yet released his identity to the public.

Medics transported the female passenger to an area hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway to determine what may have caused the driver to leave the interstate. Our writers will post updates when we learn more.
