2-vehicle crash at US-84 and FM 212 near Slaton kills 1, injures 1
LYNN CO., TX – A 39-year-old woman died Saturday afternoon from injuries sustained in a two-vehicle collision along the highway in northeast Lynn County, reports Lubbock Avalanche-Journal.
The accident happened around 2:20 p.m. at the intersection of US-84 and FM 212, which is about four miles southeast of Slaton and twenty miles southeast of Lubbock.
Police say that an eastbound 2022 Dodge Ram 1500 and a northbound 2015 Nissan Versa collided when the driver of the Nissan failed to yield the right-of-way at the intersection.
The driver of the Nissan, identified as Erin Nichole Osborn of Big Spring, died at the scene of the wreck.
Medics transported the driver of the Dodge to a hospital in Lubbock with unspecified injuries.
A full investigation is underway.
