Vehicle strikes, kills pedestrian on I-30WB near I-35E interchange

DALLAS, TX – Emergency teams responded to a fatal pedestrian crash along the interstate in Dallas Monday morning, reports WFAA News 8.

The accident happened before 6:30 a.m. on the westbound side of I-30 near the interchange with I-35E. This is just south of downtown.

Police haven’t yet shared any details about the circumstances of the crash except to say that a pedestrian died. Authorities have not yet released the name of the deceased.

It’s unclear if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk when the wreck occurred. Additionally, officials haven’t disclosed any information about the driver involved in the wreck.

Motorists experienced significant delays along I-30 westbound while crews worked at the scene.

A full investigation is underway.
