Motorcycle vs. pedestrian crash at Guaranty and Metropolitan kills 1
DALLAS, TX – One person died, and another sustained serious injuries Friday afternoon in a collision involving a motorcycle and a pedestrian, reports WFAA News 8.
The accident happened shortly before 5 p.m. at the intersection of Guaranty Street and Metropolitan Avenue, which is just northwest of Lincoln High School and east of I-45.
It’s unclear if the pedestrian was walking in a designated crosswalk when the crash occurred, and the cause of the wreck remains under review.
Medics transported both the motorcycle operator and the pedestrian to an area hospital, where one of them died. Authorities have not yet disclosed the name of the deceased to the public.
The injured party remains hospitalized with critical injuries.
