Daisy Martelly, 33, fatally injured in 3-vehicle crash near Wallisville

CHAMBERS CO., TX – A 33-year-old woman sustained fatal injuries last Thursday in a multi-vehicle collision along the interstate in northwest Chambers County, reports msn.

Emergency teams reported to mile marker 805 on the westbound side of I-10 around 4:30 a.m. This is just west of Wallisville and east of Old River Lake.

Police say that a westbound 2015 Jeep Patriot rolled after rear-ending a commercial motor vehicle. A westbound 1995 GMC pickup then struck the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep, identified as Daisy Martelly, died at the scene.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the crash, and it’s not yet clear what caused Martelly’s vehicle to hit the rear of the commercial motor vehicle.

The investigation is ongoing.
