Patricia Torres Jimenez, 31, fatally injured in TX-29 collision

BERTRAM, TX – A woman and her 2-year-old daughter died last week from injuries sustained in a multi-vehicle accident on the western outskirts of Bertram.

According to KVUE, the crash occurred last Tuesday along TX-29 in front of Overall Laundromat. This is west of Sparrow Lane.

Police say that the victim, 31-year-old Patricia Torres Jimenez, was waiting in her Toyota to turn into the laundromat from TX-29 when a Dodge Charger rear-ended her vehicle.

The initial collision pushed the Toyota into both an 18-wheeler and a BMW and ejected the victim’s 2-year-old daughter from the backseat.

Both Torres Jimenez and her daughter died at the scene of the accident.

Medics transported the driver of the Dodge to the hospital with non-critical injuries.

Authorities have not announced any charges in connection to the wreck.

A full investigation is underway.
