Roy Dacke, 49, struck, killed on TX-347 in Beaumont
BEAUMONT, TX – A 49-year-old man died this past Sunday in an auto-pedestrian collision along the highway in northeast Jefferson County, reports Beaumont Enterprise.
Shortly before 10:30 p.m., emergency teams responded to an accident on TX-347 on the southeast side of Beaumont. This is about 85 miles northeast of Houston.
Police say that a man exited a vehicle on the highway after an argument with another occupant of the vehicle. Upon exiting the car, another vehicle struck the man.
The victim died at the scene. Authorities identified him as Roy Dacke.
Officials haven’t shared any information about the driver who struck Dacke, and it’s unclear if the driver will face charges.
