Joe Miller, Jackie Dewoody killed in 2-vehicle collision

FANNIN CO., TX – A man and a woman died Saturday from injuries sustained in a crash along Highway 121 in west-central Fannin County, reports KTEN 10.

The incident occurred in the afternoon at the intersection with FM-1629. This is just southwest of Bonham and about 53 miles northeast of Plano.

Police say that a GMC Sierra and a Dodge Ram collided when the driver of the Sierra failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.

The driver of the Sierra, identified as 58-year-old Joe Miller, died at the scene of the wreck.

A passenger of the Sierra, identified as Jackie Dewoody, died after transport to an area hospital.

Medics transported the teen driver of the Ram to a Plano hospital with serious injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
