Jay Patino, 20, claimed in motorcycle crash on US-90
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A motorcyclist died in a solo crash along the highway on the west side of San Antonio Wednesday afternoon, reports KSAT 12 News.
The accident happened shortly after 2 p.m. along US-90 near Hunt Lane. This is in the Rainbow Hills area, just north of Lackland Air Force Base.
Police say that 20-year-old Jay Patino was travelling at a high rate of speed when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into the center median of US-90.
The impact of the crash threw Patino from his bike, killing him at the scene.
Patino was the sole occupant of the motorcycle when the wreck occurred. It’s unclear if he was wearing a safety helmet.
A full investigation is underway.
