Matthew Castaneda, 43, killed in crash at TX-349 and CR 2051

MARTIN CO., TX – A 43-year-old man from Seminole died earlier this week in a two-vehicle collision in northwest Martin County, reports everything Lubbock.

The accident happened Monday at the intersection of TX-349 and County Road 2051. This is just southwest of Lamesa and about 80 miles southwest of Lubbock.

Police say that a northbound vehicle hit the trailer on another northbound vehicle. The driver of the latter vehicle was stopped in preparation to make a left turn on County Road 2051.

The driver of the first vehicle, identified as Matthew Castaneda, died at the scene of the crash.

No other injuries have been reported in connection to the wreck.

A full investigation is underway.
