Davarian Collins, 22, killed in pedestrian crash on Great Trinity
DALLAS, TX – A man sustained fatal injuries Saturday night when multiple vehicles struck him along a busy roadway in southeast Dallas, reports Fox 4 News.
The accident happened shortly before midnight near the intersection of South Jim Miller Road and Great Trinity Forest Way. This is west of US-175 and north of McCommas Bluff.
Police say the victim was struck first by a westbound SUV and then by several other, unidentified vehicles that did not remain at the scene.
The pedestrian, identified as 22-year-old Devarian Collins, died after transport to an area hospital.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene to render aid and speak with authorities.
It’s unclear at this time if the victim was walking in a designated crosswalk when the crash occurred.
A full investigation is underway.
