Homer Idrogo, 51, killed in San Antonio bicycle crash
SAN ANTONIO, TX – A 51-year-old cyclist died Friday morning when two vehicles struck him along the highway in Bexar County, reports KSAT News 12.
The accident happened around 6:15 a.m. on Old Highway 90 West just south of Monterey Street on the west side of San Antonio. This is just northeast of Cuellar Park.
Police say that the victim was crossing the highway on his bike when he was hit by both a white pickup truck and a second vehicle. While the second driver did remain at the scene, the driver of the pickup truck did not stop to render aid and answer questions.
The bicyclist, whom authorities identified as Homer Idrogo, died at the scene of the crash.
Officials say that the hit-and-run driver will likely face charges when found.
