Ernest Maxey, 43, fatally injured in Navasota auto-pedestrian crash

NAVASOTA, TX – A 43-year-old sustained fatal injuries last Tuesday when a vehicle hit him along the highway on the northeast side of Navasota, reports KBTX 3.

The accident occurred at night on the westbound side of US-90, just east of the high school. This is about 25 minutes southeast of College Station.

Police haven’t shared any details regarding the cause or circumstances of the wreck except to say that the driver involved did stop to render aid and speak with officials.

The pedestrian, later identified as Ernest Maxey of Navasota, died at the scene.

Motorists likely encountered delays along US-90 westbound while emergency crews gathered evidence and worked to clear the scene.
