Geneva Griffith, 70, claimed in Parker Co. wrong-way crash

PARKER CO., TX – A 70-year-old woman died, and several people sustained injuries last Friday in a two-vehicle accident in northeast Parker County, reports Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

The wreck occurred around 6 p.m. along FM 51 near Veal Station Road. This is just south of Springtown and about 35 miles northwest of Fort Worth.

Police say that for unknown reasons, the driver of a southbound Buick Enclave entered the northbound side of FM 51 and collided head-on with a northbound Chevrolet Traverse.

The wrong-way driver, identified as Geneva Griffith of Granbury, succumbed to her injuries at the scene of the crash.

Medics transported three teens and one adult from the Chevy to an area hospital with critical injuries.

A full investigation is underway.
