Linda and John Cypert killed in 2-car crash at FM 33 and Hillger
GLASSCOCK CO., TX – Two people died, and one person went to the hospital last week following a two-vehicle wreck in north-central Glasscock County, reports NewsWest 9.
The accident happened Thursday just south of Elbow and Big Spring at the intersection of FM 33 and Hillger Road.
Police say that an eastbound 2021 Chevrolet Silverado collided with a southbound 2010 Ford Expedition when the driver of the Chevy failed to yield the right of way at the intersection.
A passenger in the the Ford died at the scene, and the driver of the Ford died after transport via air ambulance to a Lamesa hospital. Authorities identified the victims as 78-year-old Josephine Linda Cypert and 80-year-old John Duwain Cypert.
The driver of the Chevy went to the hospital with minor injuries. It’s unclear if he will be cited in connection to the accident.
